This happened at a scout camp we attended. a bevvy of kids had just walked across a space and a tree fell in it. No scratches but a lot of moise!
Well, that does look noisy! Nice journal entry, Nancy. I trust no one was hurt.
In Australia it can be huge branches of trees that just fall from the gum trees, we were always taught not to camp under a large gum tree. Must have been frightening at the time. Love your journal entries, so much going on.
This brings back memories for me. My boys were in scouts for many years and we all had great fun camping. One time while my youngest was at summer camp, a really bad storm blew through with a tornado and I was at home with my other son and I was beside myself with worry. But, all was well. Even though it was scary, the kids had quite an adventure and were excited by the whole thing! Safe inside the brick and mortar mess hall. Keep up the updates, I love reading about Camp Sparky!
Great fun at Camp Sparky again...I can just imagine the excitement about that fallen tree!
When we lived in SA we had a hundred year huge old oak tree fall on our garden wall after a horendous storm....I am still sad when I pass by our old house and don't see the tree anymore.
